MISSIONS - MAKING DEDICATED FOLLOWERS OF JESUS CHRIST AROUND THE WORLD.....AND HERE AT HOME TOO! Featuring: Real Life Ministries, Stuart, Iowa Randall & Janet Lawson ![]() Janet Lawson and M & M Did you know....... 80% of High School students do not attend any type of church service on any given week? That means that in our 4 county area that equals roughly 4,400 out of 5,500 students. Of the 1000 who do attend church services it is estimated that 200 have a viable personal relationship with the Living Christ. Now if you still don't see the bigger picture here... We are turning loose on society, here in our land, about 5,300 teens that have no first hand knowledge of what it is to follow anyone but themselves. We live in a world that desperately needs hope! Devastation in Haiti…unemployment in an uncertain economy...broken families…addiction…loneliness…blizzards and ice storms…pornog-raphy…parenting struggles…cancer…adultery…and the death of our loved ones. How should we respond? 2 Timothy 4:5 provides some powerful instruction for us: "Keep your head in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry." As Christ’s Church we must keep our eye on what God has called us to do—embracing the hope we have in Christ—and sharing it with others! Our only hope in this life is the Lord Jesus Christ, the One who has conquered death, bringing us freedom from the penalty and power of sin! May your life be flooded with God’s love and infused by His grace as you face each new day with a profound trust in Him! As we prepare for another month of life and ministry together, I have a few reminders and challenges for you as we strive to "develop dedicated followers of Jesus Christ." --Take the time to meet and greet new visitors on Sunday mornings --Read through the book of Habakkuk to prepare for our new sermon series --Attend this month’s prayer time on Sunday, February 28,at 5 p.m. --Share the hope of the gospel with someone this month It is a joy and privilege to be on this journey with you all. Serve Him Well! In Christ, Pastor Jeff |
