CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

The Cornerstone Tour - Led by Vicki Sidey and Dana Banks
Come join us as we explore the nooks and crannies of Cornerstone. Have you ever seen our library of books? Did you know there is a bathtub upstairs? Have you ever ridden in the Cornerstone elevator? If you answered no to any of these questions, then the tour is for you. As you learn more about our facility, perhaps you will feel better prepared to serve at Cornerstone. Come along with us and we’ll find out together!

Sharing Christ Courageously - Led by Eb and Sherry Knuth
Some of us don’t feel adequate to share our faith and some of us are just plain scared! Come learn and be encouraged by Eb and Sherry, as they share from their experience how to courageously share Christ with others. You will learn about tools you can use for evangelism and you will leave the class better equipped and excited to share your story with others.

Discovering our Spiritual Gifts - Led by John Clark
God has given every Christian at least one spiritual gift, and probably more. Do you know what spiritual gift(s) God has given you? This class is designed to help you understand what your spiritual gifts are and how to use them in ministry. Come learn more about the wonderful gifts God has given each of us to equip us for His work!

The Credibility Factor - Led by Jeff Banks
Trust is important to leadership because people won’t follow leaders they don’t trust. Lessons learned in this class will equip you to be a more effective leader in your home, work, and ministry. You will discover eight key ingredients for developing leadership credibility and you will also learn how to recover trust that you have broken or lost.

Cooking at Cornerstone - Led by Denise Herrick and Vicki Sidey
Discover how we can use a simple thing like food to minister to others. Learn about, hear/share tips, and get some great recipes for Cornerstone Café and for taking meals to those who are grieving, ill or in need of encouragement. In this class you will also learn the ins-and-outs of our kitchen facilities. Both men and women welcome!

Working Better Together - Led by Lynette Cose
What skills do you need to develop in order to work better with others? Whether it is working with a group at work or in ministry, or even working together as a family, Lynette will teach you strategies for success. You will learn ways to be more effective in areas such as group decision making, dealing with personality differences, and handling opposition.

Let’s Get Technical - Led by Ken Sidey and Jina Nelson
Interested in working behind the scenes? Do you enjoy working with electronics? If you answered yes, then come check out the sound system, video camera, and laptop used each week during the worship service. You will get an overview of the equipment and learn how you can become involved in this important ministry.
